Kuppersbusch transfers UK business to The 1810 Company

German appliance manufacturer Kuppersbusch is set to transfer the sales and marketing of its UK business from Teka Products to The 1810 Company from April 2.
Mark Lawrence, joint managing director of Kuppersbusch, said: “in line with a worldwide strategy, Kuppersbusch is to be positioned as a premium product. The experience of the management team at The 1810 Company makes them the ideal company to take the product forward with the re-positioning of the brand. The existing range is still available and can be purchased from Teka Products until the handover date.”
Managing director of The 1810 Company and former MD of Kuppersbusch UK, Gareth Williams said: “Kuppersbusch has been a big part of my life for nearly 30 years and I am delighted to have the opportunity to establish Kuppersbusch in what I believe is its rightful position in the market. There is, however, a lot of work to do in order to reach that goal.
“We are aware that we need to be service driven, if we are to compete with the established leaders in this sector. We will be making some key appointments over the coming months, primarily with a dedicated service manager for London. There is definitely a market for another premium product with a controlled distribution policy and sales strategy.”

  1. Our Kupperbusch microwave has stopped working as of yesterday 7th April. This is the second microwave, as the brand new one was replaced shortly after buying it in 2010. My Panasonic microwave was still working after 13 years when I got rid of it to make way for the Kupperbusch! I wonder how long I will have to wait for this to be sorted out one way or another.
My Kuppersbusch dishwasher repair took from December 17th 2012 to Friday 5th April - yes it was repaired last Friday.
Let me not forgot the Kupperbusch over door seal - broken for the 2nd times which took 2 and a half weeks to arrive by post, and the oven grill which could not be used as it tripped out all the other kitchen appliances, took weeks to come - at least 6, but probably longer.
We will never ever buy a Kupperbusch appliance again.

  2. Our Kuppersbusch microwave diagnosed with 3 faults. Have asked for a new microwave, but Teka/Kuppersbusch say that the repair must be attempted. A representative from Teka rang me this morning to ask if I could give them the serial number from the appliance. Hardly, as an engineer collected it on the 11th of April. They should have known this. I spoke to theh same representative this afternoon who did not know if the parts had been ordered or not. What are the chances of this company getting hold of the parts quickly? Absolutely nil I would say.

I am still angry and will continue to be so until I have a working microwave!!
